FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

We are committed to ensuring accessibility to quality mental health care. We are pleased to accept insurance for individual psychotherapy sessions and family sessions. However, it's important to note that we do not accept insurance for psychological testing or parent coaching services at this time. We currently work with several insurance providers, including Anthem BCBS, UMR, United Behavioral Health, IU Healthplans, and Optum insurances.

Do we meet virtually or in person?

We offer the flexibility to conduct sessions either in person, virtually, or through a combination of both to accommodate diverse client needs and preferences. While we strive to meet clients' preferences, we do have a preference for in-person appointments whenever possible. We believe that face-to-face interactions can foster deeper connections, enhance therapeutic rapport, and provide a more comprehensive understanding of each client's unique experiences. However, we recognize the convenience and accessibility of virtual sessions, especially in situations where distance or other factors may pose challenges to in-person attendance. Ultimately, our priority is to create a supportive and comfortable therapeutic environment that promotes healing, growth, and meaningful engagement, whether in person or virtually.

How often do we meet?

The frequency of sessions and the overall treatment plan are tailored to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each client. We understand that scheduling appointments is influenced by various factors, including the client's availability, therapeutic goals, and the nature of the issues being addressed. Therefore, the frequency of sessions is determined collaboratively between the client and therapist, taking into account individual preferences and therapeutic progress. Whether sessions occur weekly, bi-weekly, or with a different cadence, our priority remains ensuring that clients receive the level of support and guidance that best serves their well-being and fosters meaningful progress towards their goals.

What if I can’t make my appointment?

We value your time and the commitment to your therapeutic journey. If you find yourself unable to attend a scheduled appointment, we kindly ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We understand that unforeseen circumstances such as sudden illness or emergencies may arise, and we strive to accommodate such situations with understanding and flexibility. However, please be aware that cancellations or no-shows without prior notice may result in a fee of up to the entire appointment cost. This policy helps us maintain appointment availability for all clients and ensures efficient scheduling practices.

How long do appointments last?

Appointments typically range between 30 to 60 minutes in duration, allowing ample time for meaningful therapeutic engagement and exploration. We understand that each individual's needs vary, and occasionally, there may be circumstances that require longer sessions. In such cases, we are committed to accommodating those needs to ensure comprehensive and effective support for our clients.

Are there any issues or types of clients you don’t work with?

We prioritize providing supportive and effective counseling services to individuals and families navigating various life challenges. However, it's important to clarify that we do not engage in custody-related matters or any legal proceedings associated with custody cases. While we empathize with the complexities involved in such situations, our focus remains on providing therapeutic support that promotes emotional well-being and personal growth. We encourage individuals seeking assistance with custody-related issues to consult legal professionals or specialized services equipped to address their specific needs comprehensively. Our commitment is to maintain a safe, confidential, and supportive therapeutic environment where individuals can explore their emotions, build coping strategies, and work towards personal healing and growth.

Are your therapists able to prescribe medication if needed?

No, our therapists cannot prescribe medication. Only licensed psychiatrists have the authority to prescribe medication. As we currently do not have a psychiatrist on our team, we focus solely on providing psychotherapy, counseling, and other therapeutic interventions aimed at supporting our clients' mental and emotional well-being.
