Sara Davis, Ph.D., HSPP

Supervising Psychologist | CEO

 Dr. Sara, a licensed psychologist, speaker, and researcher, holds a doctorate in School and Education Psychology from Indiana State University. With over two decades of experience, she specializes in evaluating and treating anxiety, learning differences, ADHD, stress, mood disorders, disrupted attachment, developmental disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is a certified executive coach and a certified clinical child and adolescent anxiety treatment professional. She especially enjoys assisting parents within the home environment to navigate the unique emotional and behavioral challenges at every developmental stage, from infancy to adolescence. She strongly believes in the connection between physical and emotional health and employs a multi-modal treatment approach. Drawing from her expertise in Theraplay, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Yoga, Dr. Sara adapts treatment plans to meet individual needs while considering the impact of environment, nutrition, and resources. Dr. Sara has completed internships at the Mind/Body Institute at Harvard Medical School and Riley Child Development Center. Her post-doctoral work focuses on home-based systems of care, attachment, and developing treatment techniques, including nutrition intervention. Dr. Sara has provided supervision and research collaboration for various educational institutions and served as an instructor at Indiana State University and St. Mary of the Woods College. As a proud parent of three creative and fun-loving humans, she, along with her family, supports informed medical decisions, community theater, and Camp Organic – an experience promoting nature, organic eating, cooking, gardening, and fun with friends.

Alison Westerkamm, Psy.D., HSPP

Dr. Alison Westerkamm is a licensed psychologist, whose background is in both clinical and educational psychology. She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Indianapolis and her Master’s and Educational Specialist degrees at Indiana State University. She has worked in schools, early childhood programs, community mental health, hospital settings, and private practice. With a background in psychological and psychoeducational testing, Dr. Alison relies on a multimodal, strengths-based paradigm in the assessment of cognitive, behavioral, emotional, social, and academic problems. Dr. Alison is passionate for helping children, adults and families navigate life’s stressors and mental health challenges, using a collaborative, solution-focused, and compassionate therapeutic approach. After meeting with a new client or client’s parents for a detailed intake and history, she designs a treatment plan unique to each individual utilizing cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral techniques, therapeutic stories and art therapy, sensory-based interventions, narrative and interpersonal therapy, and trauma-informed care. Dr. Alison has experience working with children and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, PTSD, grief and loss, and adjustment difficulties. Through parent-child sessions, she also provides guidance to families on effective parenting techniques, behavioral management, and developing positive communication. Dr. Alison is a married, mother of three children. She loves spending time with her beloved family and doodle, working in her yard, and collecting sea shells at the beach.

Kristi Rowe, MS, LMHC

Kristi Rowe is a licensed therapist who has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals and groups of all ages. As an active therapist she combines experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling. Kristi believes in a strengths based approach that is holistic, eclectic and guided by the individual needs of the client. She uses a warm, supportive, and collaborative approach that allows her clients and their families to feel at ease and empowered to navigate life stressors and challenges. Kristi completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis and then her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University in 1992. Kristi has provided services in a variety of settings for children, adolescents, young adults, and families presenting with a variety of emotional, social, and behavioral concerns including anxiety, depression, grief & loss, anger, adjustment difficulties, ADHD and autism. Kristi and her husband are proud parents of two adventurous, ambitious and loving children. She enjoys traveling and a variety of outdoor activities which include training and competing in triathlons. In her spare time Kristi enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, knitting and creative projects.

Reese Kavanaugh, BA, Billing Manager

Reese Kavanaugh is the Billing and Garden Manager here at KPI. Currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University, Reese brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Kinesiology from Monmouth College in 2021. Driven by a profound love for gardening and the outdoors, Reese is passionate about integrating these passions into her Mental Health Counseling journey. Her ambition is to utilize agricultural therapy techniques, harnessing the therapeutic benefits of nature and horticulture to support and enhance mental health practices. In her future she aims to create unique and nurturing experiences that intertwine the healing power of nature with counseling methodologies.
